Boats, boats everywhere, it seems only reasonable to expect that we should host a painting exhibition of boats. Sometimes we take for granted what is all around us, whether wrapped in storage, under repair or in the water; boats are in our landscape. It is time to pay them homage. To that end, we invited some of the most dynamic painters of boats and ten of them submitted thematic boat paintings.
The Ten Participating Artists are: Joreen Benbenek, Frank Costantino, Dennis Doyle, Jack Haran, Jack Hobbs, Charles Movalli, Dale Ratcliff, Marilyn Swift, Anthony Tomaselli, Michael Weymouth.
Hingham artist Michael Weymouth will paint at our Gallery on Saturday, April 28 from 10am to 6pm. He will spend the day painting and working on his two oil paintings, size 18”x36”, which will be of a lobster boat, and of a sailboat. Public is encouraged to stop by any time during the day from 10am to 6pm to meet Mike, see him at work and watch him, ask any questions, and see the current exhibit.
